What do you remember about your kinder experience? I went to kindergarten in Northcote and I remember being in awe of the gigantic tree that threw dappled shade over the whole yard. I also remember there was a piano, dress ups and the home corner. My mum didn’t drive so we would catch the tram.
Have you always worked in Early Childhood Education? I have previously worked in retail, aged care and hospitality. I have worked in Early Childhood Education for 8 years.
What are your favourite kindergarten activities? I really enjoy spending time with children in the outdoors no matter what the weather! Nature has so much to teach us. I love sharing my knowledge of Aboriginal Culture with children but most of all it’s the relationships I develop with all the children and their families that gives me the most joy.
What is your favourite food? I really enjoy cooking savoury foods especially Indian. I get a lot of delight from cooking with the things I have grown myself and can’t wait for my artichokes to grow!
What do you like to do when you are not at kinder? Spending time with my family, gardening, reading, listening to music, catching up with friends and being in nature. I also love travelling the world and finding out about different cultures.
